Grace Ming performs with Asian Glow at the Lily Pad on November 3rd.
Grace Ming is an explorer of audio visual expression and a multi-media storyteller. She studied traditional art and music growing up, and expanded her practice into the digital world with graphic design, video art, and music production. Her most recent work, Memories of Asian America, was a multi-media installation that explored the connectivity of history and experince in her everyday life as an Asian American.
As a musician, she began composing works for piano and instruments in middle school, and began performing as a solo vocal-piano act in high school. Her music draws from her classical piano training, as well as jazz piano and vocal experience. She has performed at open mics in college, in her community, and recently, in the Museum of Chinese in America’s open mic series. Asian Glow is her first featured gig and she’s excited to perform among Asian American artists.
